-Peace,
favorite people are there. It's a
season in which to gain weight,
whether for better or for worse.
It's a chance to eat leisurely, to
linger over that last cup of coffee.
These are days of rest, days
for sleeping late. It's a time when
alarm clocks don't exist, a chance
to nap without rhyme or reason.
These are days to sleep in a room
both private and familiar. It's a
time to be completely relaxed, un
regretfully lazy. These are days
in which to restore lost energy.

The poor man didn't really mean
to cause trouble . . . he just wanted
to paint the floor.
"Won't you come back Saturday?"
we pleaded. The man doesn't work
on Saturday.
"Can't you paint half today and
half tomorrow?" No, the man only
had an hour to do the job.

For some, Thanksgiving is a
time to visit new places and meet
new people. Students who have
the wanderlust are able to take off
for different locales. Those who
live too far away to get home have
the chance to see new cities while
enjoying the hospitality of a class
mate.
For some, it's a time to just sit
around, a time for watching TV,
listening to music, or reading. For
others, each day is filled with
work or study. For all, it's a

chance to catch up, to do things
that have been pushed aside for
some future time.
This season is a chance to be
alone, to think, to wonder. It's a
time to explore the past and to
glance at the future. It's a time
to dream and hope. lt's a time
for understanding, an opportunity
to help others.
Thanksgiving is a holiday in
which to learn the news at home
births, deaths, marriages, who's
going with whom. It's a chance
to read a familiar newspaper
thoroughly, a time for discussing
large and small events. It's a time
for warmth.
