Danny Kaye thinks that tele
vision criticism should be taught
on every college and university
campus in the country.
"Nearly everybody takes his
turn at belting TV," he says. "At
least we might raise the level of
criticism by offering degrees in
the subject."
Danny has no beef with the
specific, constructive criticism of
television to which both the critics
and public are entitled. But he
thinks it's time to stop the gen
eralized knocking of the medium,
which reached even into official
quarters when the F. C. C. chair
man recently characterized tele
vision as a "wasteland."
"No doubt much of TV is a
wasteland," Kaye agrees. "Yet for
the selective viewer, it can be not

that matter, the right arm is held

Danny cited one week's Los b

his position.
"Every weekday on Los Angeles
