At 3 o'clock this afternoon the
- green flag will fall signaling the
start of the First Annual "Little
500" Bicycle Race if it doesn't
rain. Nearby Davis Field is the
scene of the locally untried ven
ture which has evidenced tremen
dous response at other universi- W
ties. Cooperation from the stu
dentq, teachers and many husiness
men around town has been excep
tional so far, and a good turnout
this afternoon will undoubtedly
guarantee the success of the race.
Show Your Muscle!!
The race preparations are fin
ished and full racing colors are
displayed on and near the track
area. Johnny askey and crew are
in charge of wrecking the Pontiac
lat the east end of the field and
concessions may be obtained near
the wreck for all thirsty "pound
ers and spetators. "Tiny" Neil
iutchinson is pushing his barrel
for the Educational Foundation
and a con1bo will be playing on the
Russell House patio from one
o'clock until three, and a go-cart
rmnd vent yiour
pacer car will test the track a few
minutes before racetime. This is
the prerace activity in a nutshell.
