Depender
As any girl will tell you,
at great length, the most
cinating subject of convers
is men.
This makels life tough, f
has been my experience at
that one's men friends are 1
to temper tantrums by the
ject. They'll talk intermii
about their jobs, their cc
football team, local politics
weather and women. But
world's most fascinating su
leaves them cold.
The only subject they
find even more tedious
girl's job.
This can lead to some p
boring evenings, but in the
run is a good thing. If a
really did find a girl's job
cinating he might never
around to saying those r
words-"Let me take you
from it all."
It would also be a much
satisfactory arrangement
a man's point of view. Mar
just doesn't come naturall
them, and furthermore n e
will, according to Dr. The4
l1eik.

suer-even if she pursue

The current crop of holiday
dresses almost guarantees that
any woman can be belle of the
ball because they so enhance the
essential "Eve" through linear
design, rich fabrics and exciting
colors.
In design, the definitive curve
of bell and dome skirts is promi
nent, providing a natural basis
for draping which abounds in
horizontal, vertical and diagonal
varieties.
Sometimes m e r m ai d fronts
curve to the hem on these full
skirts and seemingly slim skirts
emphasize graceful movement in
the soft s w i s h of unpressed
pleats. Sleeves range from bared
to fully covered but are mostly
bare.
Exotic fabrics such as tap
estries, brocades and prints, vel
vet and peau de soie are every
where along w i t h occasional
;rlitter of heads, sequins and
lames.
Color is delicious in rich tones
of blue, green, red and the pur
ple f a m i l y. Beige has been
superseded by the tonal depth
of taupe and stark black is
often relieved by a touch of
glitter.
This season sees the revival
of the long evening gown, but
is a slim elegance in graceful
chiffon or belled satin, brocade
or peau de soic.
The jewelry to w e a r with
these dresses is bold, in big,
brilliant pieces that are frankly
fake.

This year's accessories are big
and brash.
It needs consideration and an
accurate appraisal of what's
universal and what's a one
woman accessory. This winter
the system has turned up four
