Faculty M Attend Cc Several members of the USC staff and faculty recently trav eled throughout the state and country to attend conferences in their respective fields. Dean of Women Elizabeth Clot worthy attended the fall meet ing of the South Carolina As sociation of Women Deans and Counselors, at Converse College, Spartanburg, last weekend. Dean Clotworthy is president of the association. Also, the University was repre sented by six members of the de partment of foreign languages at the annual meeting of the South Atlantic Modern Languages As sociation held in Charleston last week. Professor R. M. Stephan, head of the department, and Professors S. B. Adams, ). F. Bub, K. L. F. DeGravelines, W. F. Meeks and W. C. Zeigler attended the ses sions in the F r a n e i s Marion Ilotel. Three Carolina professors will participate in the meeting of the Southern Economics Assn. at the Biltmore Hotel, in Atlanta, Ga., Nov. 17-19. Prof. Gordon Tullock of the department of international stud ies, will speak on "An Economic Analysis of Political Choice." Dr. Gustavus G. Williamson, Jr. of the School of Business Ad ministration will speak on "The Southern Textile Industry During Reconstruction and 'Redemption'." Also on the program in At lanta, Dr. Olin S. Pugh of the School of Business Administra tion will be a member of a panel to discuss Federal debt manage nent. The secretary-treasurer of the association is Prof. William H.
