The tradition of 63 years will soon be past, all that will
be left are memories, but these memories are deeply rooted.
Each "Big Thursday" belongs to those who took part in it.
Not only in the game itself, but the cheerleaders . . . coaches
The governor changing sides at half-ime ... pre-game
warmups, all are part of that which we call Carolina.
Pictured here are some of the scenes that made the his
tory of State Fair weekend. The color and display of Clemson
Carolina might leave us, but we salute all that makes it. All
Freshman cheerleaders cheering the freshman team on to victory tonight are, left to right, first row:
Katie Coleman, Chris Thompson, Rita Belk, and "Butch" Richard; second row: Jerry Harrington, head
cheerleader; Al Chabot, Phil Perry, and Bobby Fuller, alternate. (Photo by Florini.)
