Take Second
By Staff Writer
Well, another Greek Week has
come and gonel How was it?
There seem to be many answers
to that question!
Greek Week officially opened
Tuesday night a week ago when
Pi Kappa Alpha won first' place
in men's stunt night. Phi Kappa
Sigma came in second, with Chi
Psi coming in third.
Zeta Tau Alpha won first
place in women's stunt' night
with "Bewitched, Bewedded, and
Beheaded," a take off on Henry
VIII. Pi Beta Phi came in see
ond with "The Taming of the
Shrew." And Sigma Delta Tau
and Delta Zeta collaborated to
produce a third place winner,
"Toyland Escapade."
Friday night the participants
in Greek Week (hned to the
music of The Gladiola's. It is
rumored that many could not
(lance and those who were able
didn't have-room.
Saturday afternoon the Dorsey
Orchestra, under the direction of
Warren Covington, got off to
a late start, but when they were
once started entertained the
audience with an hour and a half
of very good music.
Saturday night the tables were
removed from the Ballroom of
the Hotel Wade Hampton, but
the crowded situation still pre
vailed. The highlight of the
(lance was the presentation of
the IFC Man-of-the-Year Award
to Acting President Robert L.
Sumwalt.

with a softness and lustre all its
own. Patternwvise, stripes range
in widths from candy to hairline.
Notable among these is the
IRipple Stripe series. Naturally
the more dIressier of the group
ar'e the stripe(s on a wvhite ground,
though they do come with colored
bacikgroundls. But, if you're
going to be dressy, you might as
well be good andl dressy. Save
coIloredl shirts for the old1 grey
flannel suit.
Old Numihers
Speaking of coloredl shirts,
wha t can he doneW with those old
numblers from a couple of years
ago? We have a yellow one, a
pink one and even an olive one,
andl they all look like Inst year!

Greek Week
Greek Week surely demonstrated that space capacity
can be over-capacitated. It was a shame that the wonderful
music went to waste for lack of dancing room. The removal
of the informal Friday night dance tables didn't do too
-nuch to alleviate the space problem for the Saturday night
formal. The crowd was there, that's for sure . . . Anne Hollo.
