Probably the most remarkable work of AKG is the service loan fund. Since 1940 the organiza tion has made 81 loans amount ing to a total of $10,000, accord ing to Kitty Wells, treasurer and scholarship chairman. The loans are revolving in na ture, and each loan is payable two years after graduation. The loan fund is available preferably for juniors and seniors. Song Fest Another activity of AKG is the sorority song fest which is the largest event for raising the scholarship money. Officers of AKG include: Mickey Caughman, president; Dorcas Giles, vice-president; Beverly Parler, secretary; and Kitty Wells, treasurer and schol arship chairman.
