Deadline For Tri Delta Scholarship Set For Tomorrow Tomorrow is the deadline for applying to Dean of Women Arney R. Childs for the Margaret Ashe Scholarship Fund. Alpha Lambda chapter of Delta Delta Delta social sorority an nounces competition for this local scholarship, to be presented to any well-qualified woman student at the University. This student must be regularly matriculated here, and may be sorority or non-sorority, graduate or undergraduate in academic standing. The award is given annually by Alpha Lambda chapter of Tri-Delt in memory of a former member, Margaret Ashe. The scholarship consists of $100 and is presented at Awards Day. J. The contest seeks to select the nation's most beautiful and brainy college girl at its Fifth Annual Grand Finals to be held there at Convention Hall June 21-28. Judgings are based 50 per cent on beauty and 50 per cent on brains. The college girl selected as the South Carolina State College Queen will win round trip trans portation to and from Asbury Park, to compete in the grand finals. While in the resort city, she will be housed at a leading beachfront hotel. If she wins the 1957 National College Queen title, she will re ceive $5,000 in prizes and scholar ships as well as modeling contracts which will not interfere with her scholastic work or school terms.
