Many Carolina students' wedding dates have recently been
announced. Louise Poston (DDD) and Buddy Register (SN) plan
a Spring wedding. Gloria Guyon and Bill MeAulay will be married
April 13.
June is the month for brides and many Carolina students will
then walk down the aisle. Vivian Best and Ed Carpenter, Pat
Dowling (alum) and Jimmy Kellett, and Frankie Madden (Pi Phi)
and Charles Huffman all plan June Weddings.
Wedding Dates
Dottie McAulay and Jimmy Martin will be married June 1 in
the Eastminster Presbyterian Church. Thomasine Coker and
Lavonne Plowden (KA) will be married June 6.
Among the engagements are those of G. B. Sanders (KD) to
Bill Poplin, Betty Jo Hoover to Richard Doleshe, St. Mary's College
alum, Emily Jenkins to Tom Hindman, The Citadel alum, and Don
Duncan to Wilma Lane Traylor of Columbia.
Carolina Students Are Wed
Katherine Fulmer (KD) and Johnny Thorne (KA) were married
Jana 26. Included in the wedding party were King McGee, Mary
Scott Parringer, Jane Oxner, Betty McCutchen and Betty Ann
Nelson.
Patsy Davis (ADPi) and Gilbert DuPre (Clemson alum) were
married Jan. 27. Among those in the wedding were Lloyd DuPre
and Ida Lynn. Frances Swygert of Columbia and David Derrick
were married Jan. 26 in Main Street Methodist Church, Columbia.
Sara McNaull and Billy Ray Herrin, who were married Jan. 26,
are at home at 2822 Duncan Street.
Other Carolina newlyweds include Sally Jo Stalvey of Columbia
Colleg and Jerry Frick, Margaret Templeton and Melton Glenn
of Camden, and Pat Arant (PiPhi) and Victor Sarratt.
Pinnings Told
Sallie Webster is pinned to Don Wheeler of The Citadel, and
Wray Davis (ADPi) and Butch Williamson (Phi Kap) are pinned.
Sigma Chi Party
Sigma Chi's partied last Saturday night. Susan Palmer and
King Holmes, Will Kelly and Betty Lane Cherry, "Whit" Whitner
and George Gregory, Bet Rembert and Sonny Bragg, and Jackie
Sallenger and Murphy Lemmon were at Gibson's Pond for the
event.
Pi Kaps 'At Home'
Saturday night, the Pi Kaps partied at the fraternity house.
Steve Irish and Beverly Hoefers, Don Wilson and Louise Sullivan
and Benny Dusenbury and Jane Proctor were in this group. Sam
and Bobbie Jean Rigby entertained with a drop-in at their home
after the party.

Preview Group Censors
Fraternity Stunt Acts
All fraternity skits prepared for the annual Stunt
Night were previewed this week by a committee of three,
according to Interfraternity Council president Richard
Horne.
Following men's stunt night last year, the Student
Activities Committee sent a letter to IFC sating that all
fraternity stunts must be previewed prior to presenta
tion.
If any objectional material is introduced after the
preview, the curtain will fall immediately on the per
forming group and the fraternity presenting the skit will
be subject to the fine for non-participation, the letter
further stated. The fine, as set by IFC, amounts to $50,
Horne said.
The previewing committee was composed of IFC
members Mac Rivkin and Fred Wigfield, and Prof. John
S. Herin of the business administration school. Stunts
were previewed Tuesday and Thursday nights.
