Ensemi Begin: The University instrumental en sembles and chorus will tour sevei Sopth Carolina towns Monday an( Tuesday, April 16 and 17, on at annual spring tour sponsored bI the University Department of Mu sic. On Friday, April 20, a concer1 will be presented at Drayton Hall. The groups will leave the campui Monday morning. The woodwinc and brass ensembles will play con, certs at Camden and Cheraw Higt Schools, and the chorus will sing at Bishopville High. Monday nighi the groups will meet for a joint concert at Bennettsville where they will stay over for the night. On Tuesday the ensembles will travel to Dillon High and the chorus will perform at Florence High. A joint concert will be given at Manning Tuesday night. On April 20, the chorus and en sembles in conjunction with the University string ensemble will give a program in Drayton Hall. Concert Program The program for the ensembles and the chorus will be the same for the concert on campus as on tour. Some of the numbers by the en sembles will be "The King's Fan fare" by Josquin Des Pres, "Me moriam" by Harold Johnson, "In the Aquarium" by Newell, and "Suite for Clarinet Quartet" by Paul Fisk. Soloists for the tour and the concert Friday night will be John Mitchum, trombonist, who will play "Leibeslied" by Okar Bohme, and James Craig, w ho will play Mozart's "Violin Concerto." Accom panists will be Beverly Kennedy and Joanne Race, respectively. Religious and secular music will be presented by the chorus. Some of the numbers include "The Creation" by Joseph Hayden, "Sanctus Requiem" by Wolfgang Mozart, and "You'll Never Walk Alone" by Richard Rogers. Soloist will be Mary Elizabeth Lewis, so prano.
