100 Attend
McBryde
Celebration.
The McBryde Brotherhood had
its annual Big Weditesday Re
union Celebration at the VFW Club
October 19. Approximately 100
Brotherhood members and alumnae
attended the affair. Professor De
Gravalines was the chaperone.
Music for dancing was provided
by the Shadows. At 12 p. in. a
late drop-in was given To the
Brotherhood by Alan Taylor of
Columbia.
The McBryde Brotherhood is an
independent men's social organiza
tion now in its tenth year of exist
enee. Members are residents of
McBryde College.
The Brotherhood is probably
best known on the campus for its
fine tigers. Each year, the mem
hers of the Brotherhood construct
a tiger to be burned during the
pep rally in front of the State
House. The tiger scheduled for
this year, Tammany X, was kid
napped by a hand of Clemsonites.
The tiger actually burned was
Tammany XI, an emergency re
placement. Tammany XI was 12
feet long and had an 82-foot tail.
Officers of the McBryde Brother
hood include Ray May of McCor

Whether or not a color is be
coming depends upon the color of
the skin, hair, and eyes. A golor
that matches these features or that
is eomplimentary to them is suit
able. Thus no color is likely to be
equally becoming to a blonde, a
redhead, or a brunette. So much
lepends oil subtle difference of
tint or shade that there can be no
fixed rules.
Each person must try a color
with others and against the face
to choose those which are best
suited to her. Here are a few, sug
est ions: plain, dull black drains
the lace of coloi; whereas white
throws color and vitality into the
skin. An intense yellow gives the
skin a tinge of violet which em
phasizes its differences, particu
larly if the skin is sallow. Bright
yellow should therefore he worn
only by a wonan with a perfect
complexion. To bring out the color
of the eyes, you can use a large
duller area of the same hue.
mick, president; Louis Mitchell of
Ratesburg, vice-president; Ralph
Risher of Charleston, social chair
man and Tom Jones of Bishopville,
athletic director.
