The weather was perfect-the cold spell ended just in time. Some present were: RON GROVE and ANN COOPER, DAVE MARTIN and FIRANCES LUMPKIN, MIKE CORY and RUTH TISON. "GROTTO FUN" The Sig Eps enjoyed dancing to a Combo at the Azan Grotto Saturday iight. A few of the couples attending were: FLASH McBRIDE with MARGOT WEILAND, FREDDIE SPRUELL with MARY DUKE, FIRANK OATES with MARSHA DUGAN. PHIL DONLIN with BETTY LANE CHERRY. "THEY'RE OFF-" Carolina students turned out en masse at the Carolina Cup races in Camden. A few of the many who took the trip were: ED MULLINS and BETSY COKER, BULDDY KNIDIFFER and GAIL SIMS, JIM FASSNACHT and BETTY SEAY, WINFIELD SAPP and AB PEARCE, SAUNDRA HARVIN and RANDOLPIH SMOAK. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Marion Hagood had a very happy twentieth birth<liy last week end. A group of her friends in Augusta, Ga. held a surprise party in her honor. A LITTLE LATE CAROL BRANDENBURG and ESTHER LABRUCE traveled the Clemson way to attend the "Military Ball." Diuke Ellington was at his best, and had as his aim "pleasing the dancers." BLOCK "C" FORMAL Saturday night the Block C Club held its formal at the Jefferson Hotel. Since then it has been one of the two most outstanding dance clubs on the Carolina campus. The Cotillion gives two fine (lances every year, one in the fall and one in the spring.
