Pi Kappa Phi Formal Tonight Sigma Chapter of Pi Kap] Phi Fraternity will hold its "Ro Ball" tonight from nine until o o'clock at the Columbia Hot Ballroom. The dance will cabaret style with each fraterni, being given separate tables. Mus will be furnished by Bill Mqo and his orchestra. Pi Kappa Phi was founded Charleston in 1904, the only n tional fraternity to be founded South Carolina. London Ballet To Perform Here Ballet enthusiasts from as fa away as Tampa, Fla., will come Columrbia tomorrow for the pe formances at Township Aut torium of London's famous Fesi val Ballet troupe. Band To Play At Inauguration The University Band will play concert during the inauguratic ceremonies of governor - ele George B. Two other state bands playir for the ceremonies are the Olei son and Cit:adel bands. .'~ . .... 9g University Chorus Has Openings There are openings for singers in all sections (soprano, alto tenor and bass) of the University Chorus for the spring semester, Mr. D. G. Phillips, director of the chorus, announced' Students will be posted in the post office during the days prior to examinations to take the names of interested persons. But all chorus personnel must sign up on the day of registration with Mr. Phillips. Sigma Chii Elects . Spring Officers Gamma Nu Chapter of Sigma Chi Fraternity elected officers for the spring semester on Monday night. The new officers are: president, Spec Granger; vice president, Don Clark; treasurer, Tommy Davant; social chairman, Zeb Andrews; and pledge chair man, Bob Williams. The following were initiated into the active chapter last Friday night: Bill Tarrer, Ronnie Hicks, Mackie Prickett, and Billy Rivers. Delta Omicron Holds Meeting Recently elected officers of the pledge class of Delta Omicron are: president, Vermelle Gatch, and treasurer, Merry Huggins. At the annual Macdowell Tea a delightful program of songs and piano selections was presented by members of Delta Omicron and alumnae. Madame Tremblay Baker gave a very interesting talk on "American Music." The purpose of the Macdowell Tea is to promote American music. Phi Epsilon Pi Elects Don Miller President Don Miller of Columbia was elected president of Phi Epsilon Pi fraternity this week, succeed ing Larry Koenig of Bridgeport, Conn.
