Traveistead, head of the School of Education, an nounced today. Classes will be held July 6-23 daily from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Three graduate or undergraduate credits may be earned. Persons participating in the wvorkshop will examine "the air age and its effects on the lives of people and schools," and will study the preparation of aviation education projects and courses. They will also receive instirue tion in teaching methodology, in. terest motivation, vocational op. portunities and the evaluation of available aviation teaching ma terials which may be used in con junction with science and socda studies courses. Tharough the cooperation of the Piper Aircraft Corporation, Delti Air Lines. Eastern Air Lines, am the South Carolina Aeronautici Commission, short orientati flights have been arranged. Discussions and demonstration: dealing with the theory of flight aerial navigation and weather re porting will be featured in the workshop. The workshop will be directed by Mrs. Pearle Robinson, director o: aviation education, South Carolima Aeronautics Commission. The reg istration, room and board for each student amounts to $4.50. Trans portation will be provided for all students desiring to go. The pro gram outlined for the weekend includes recreation, discussion groups, inspirational speakers and worship. Students desiring information on this Camp Long Retreat should contact Bentley Rivers or Ted Ledeen, YMOA director. A delegation from the university "Y" will- visit St. Helena's Island over the Easter holidays for a work party the community center is holding. Delegates from inany states will attend. Carolina representatives will be Mr. and Mrs. Ted Ledeen, Bruce Parrish, and George Trotter. The university will meet six At lantic Coast Conference football teams in succession next fall. It will feature the favorite songs of the various squadrons of the Cadet Wing. These songs were determined by vote within the unit. Each unit selected five songs. Of the songs selected by the nine squadrons, "Secret Love" was chosen six times and "Wanted," five times.
