Whether it's a Coke, or a th
needn't have a Cadillac to get tI
next class.
When the scheduled student
union building is constructed, there I
should even be less rush for noon
meals, since it is to include a large
cafeteria, too.
Week days, eating is no prob
lem!
Sundays, however, present an
other problem, for seemingly the
only place to get a bite to eat is
the tiny Toddle House, or perhaps
across town at Doug Broome's.
Even so, week days present no
such problem.
A brief list of the nearby eating
establishments might include:
Campbell's Drug Store, Cornell
Arms Buffet, Economy Food
Store, Steward's Hall, Tobey's
Grill, Towers' Soda Shop, Univer
sity Canteen, University Grill,
Wade Hampton Cafeteria (girls
only), and the West Home.
For the energetic students who
see fit to arise at such an unheard
of hour as 7:15 a.m., several of
the above offer breakfast then. For
the other 95 per cent of the campus
students, the University Canteen,
Campbell's Drug Store, Tobey's
Grill, Towers' Soda Shop, or the
University Grill serve breakfast
from around 11 a.m. until noon,
much more appropriate hours for
hard-working college persons.
The West Hoie at 1331 Pendle
ton Street, across from Maxey Col
lege, boasts the fact that students
are practically at home while eat
ing "family style." Mrs. T. R.
West, manager, relates that the
motto of her home is "Take all
