To Hold Dance
Phi Kappa Sigma will celebrate
its 103rd anniversary Monday,
November 19 with a formal ban
(uiet and dance at the Hotel Wade
Hampton. The after-dinner speech
will be mnade by Dr. Francis
'endleton Gaines, president of
Wofford College. Intermission
time will feature a program by
the Phi Kap chorus and the an
noiuncement of the "Phi Kap Girl
for 1953." Many alumni will join
the active chapter for the gala oc
casion.

officers was held.

Three of the Phi Sig pledges
changed their status to active last
week. Among the new Phi Sig
brothers are: Maxey Hicks, Bobby
Mack and Freddie Martin. A party
was held in honor of the new
brothers at the Market Restaurant
after the completion of the
ceremonies.

Invited To Attend
Memorial Center
Earl Skidmore, executive direc
tor of the Youth Memorial Center,
has announced a special member
ship for university students under
the age limit of 19
The Center sponsors a teen age
canteen for all students in this
area. Every Friday and Saturday
night from 7 to 11 P.M., the Cen
ter sponsors dances for the mem
bers. At this time students may
obtain their membership cards
without any cost.
Every afternoon the Center is
open to members who wish to take
part in social actives such as
dancing, ping pong and billiards.
