Cotillion Club
Formal Tonight
The Cotillion Club will hold its
spinig formal tonight in the Co
1u1mbia Ilotel ballroom. The closed
dance will begin at 49 p.m. Tony
Torre and his orchestra will pro
vide music for the occasion.
Officers of the Cotillion Club

Elects Bill Todd
Bill Todd was elected president
of Sigma Phi Epsilon April 20.
Other officers elected are: Byron
Tapley. vice-president, Pasadena,
Tex.; Dick Plummer, secretary,
Elizabethtown, Pa.; George Rider,
treasurer, Bellmore, N. Y., and
Marvin Weathers, historian, St.
George.

Sweetheart
The seventh annual Sigma Chi
Derby will be run May 7 at 3:30
p.m. on the horseshoe. The high
light of the Derby will be the
presentation of the 1953 Sigma
Chi Sweetheart.
Spirit is high among the soror
ities who will be, trying to take
lionle solpe of the trophies and
gifts to be presented to the win
nierls.
There are eight races with
points given for a win, place, or
show. The races consist of the
relay, the steeplechase, needle in
the haystack, pie eating contest,
sack race, Miss Venus contest, and
the secret race. The eighth race
will be on the judging of the
uniforms worn by the different
sororities.
The feature race will be the
crowning of the "Miss America of
USC."-Miss Venus. Each sorority
r has entered its beauty and the
r competition should be keen.
