Miss Venus?~ The feature attraction of the seventh annual Sigma Chi Derby Day will be the crowning of "Miss Venus" of 1953. "Miss Venus" will be selected from the candidates entered by each sorority. She will be judged on her figure and facial beauty, and her poise andl charm. "Miss Venus" will receive a trophy presented by the Sigma Chi fraternity as well as many beautiful and useful gifts donated by local merchants. Sigma Chi Derby Day is sched uled for May 7 on the horseshoe. "Miss Venus" will be crowned during the events. Other contests include the relay, the steeplechase, the needle in the haystack, the sack race, the pie eating contest, and the secret race. Contestants for the secret race do not know what kind of event they are entered in until just before the contest. The "Miss Venus" contest is a new thing at Derby Day.
