ODK Annoi List For Fal Chi circle of Omicron Delta Kappa National Honorary Leader ship society will hold its semi annual tapping ceremony at fraternity stunt night, December 4, President Bill Novit has an nounced. Candidates for ODK must meet the following requirements: (1) show outstanding character, (2) have at least junior standing, (8) have a c-plus average, a 3 average for the previous semester or 8.5 for the previous 2 semesters, (4) as a senior (ninety-three credit hours or above) have accumulated at least 100 credit points as set forth in the point system for Chi Circle, which is printed in full below; or as a junior (60 through 92 credit hours or above) have accumulated at least 75 points as set forth in the point system for Chi Circle. He must not be married at the time he is accepted and must agree I to remain unmarried until he receives his commission. He must not have received orders to report for selective service induction. After being accepted the applicant will be ordered to Pensacola, "The Annapolis of the Air," within five or six weeks. BSU Convention Scheduled For 1 Next Weekend The South Carolina Baptist Student Union will hold its annual fall convention at the First Baptist Church in Greenville, November 14-16. Hal Norton, president of the local organization, has announced that thirty members of this campus are attending. d "Christ Must Reign" is the 1 r theme of the convention. Major S speakers will be Dr. Stewart New- r % man, Southeastern Baptist Theo- - logical Seminary, Wake Forest, N. C.; Rev. A. L. In basic training he will spend bout 180 hours in the air in a avy two seat trainer. He will marn formations, cross-country, ight and instrument flying. After his comes the first landing on he deck of an aircraft carrier. In advanced training the student aay get a choice of going into ne, two or four engine planes r jets. If he goes into the single ngine training he will spend in extra two weeks of carrier deck andings. Advanced training lasts or four months which brings the otal number of months in the raining program to 18. The successful NAVCAD will be rommissioned as an ensign in the LI. S. navy or a second lieutenant n the marine corps. He will spend Approximately two and one-half years on duty with a squadron. After this he may accept a com mission in the regular navy or return to civilian life.
