Alpha Delta Pi gave a Christmas party for a group of orphans from the Epworth Children's 1jome on Tuesday, from 6:30-8:00 in the sorority room. There were gifts for all, with ice cream and cake served. ADPi will have a Christ mas Party for the alumnae, actives, and pledges Monday at 7:30 in the sorority room. Gifts will be given to the sorority room and also to members. Phi Kappa Sigma's Christmas Party will be at the Jef ferson Rathskeller. Sigma Nu's journeyed up to Clinton Tuesday to initiate the local Alpha Lambda Tau Chapter into Sigma Nu. Initiat ing officers were AL FISHER, BERT JESSUP, LOUIS HAIGLER, and FRANK OWENS. After the initiation cere mony the new Sigma Nu Chapter at P. C. gave a party in honor of the Delta Chapter. Sigma Nu's and dates partied Saturday afternoon and night at SQUEE TROTTER's farm. Lambda Chi Alpha president, MIKE CALLAHAN, an nounced that the Christmas party for orphan children will be held today at 3 p. m. About 40 children from Epworth Orphanage have been invited. Games will be played, and each child will receive fruit, nuts, candy, and a gift. Lambda Chi will hold its Christmas party at the Woman's Club Monday. The party will be cabaret style and music will be by "Candy Boy" and his orchestra. Humorous gifts will be presented to the members and dates. The fraternity was well represented at the Christmas Hop at Winthrop. Among those attending were: BILLY RICHARDSON, ED DENTON, J. T. MAULDIN, SON KINNON, GRADY RAWLS, GEORGE FLOYD, DAVID BALL, and SAM GAILLARD. DR. ROY B. McKNIGHT of Charlotte, 'the proviice president, visited Sigma Chi this week. Alpha Tau Omega's partied last Saturday night at Pine wood Lake. Kappa Sigma had a Christmas party Monday night and announced their "Sweetheart." GLORIA HALL, Pi Beta Phi, was named to succeed B. J. McLEAN, ADPi. Pi Beta Phi had its Christmas party from 8-12 Monday night. Kappa Sig alums BILL DAVIS, "CANDY" TAYLOR, CHARLIE McDADE, F. D. ACREE, and FRED LOCKE visited on recent week-ends. Wedding bells rang for BILL DOMINEY, Kappa Sig, and MARGARET HAUSE, Chi Omega, during the Thanks giving Holidays. Miss EVELYN POPE chaperoned a ZTA party out at 'Y' Camp last Saturday night from 6:30 to 11:00. Much food was consumed; bridge was played; records furnished the music for the dancing. The ZTA's will have a shower on Wednesday from 8-9:30 ini honor of PHYLLIS DUKES, alum. Sigma Chi will have a blue jean party this Saturday night. Next Tuesday night they will carol with KD. Sigma Chi pledge class officers have been elected with DICK BLACKMON leading. Next in power is Vice-President JOHN BODENHEIMER. BURNEY KINARD is secretary, and DICK KOHLAGEN controls the money. Newman Club is having a Christmas party tonight from 7-12 at Hoeffer's Country Home-Lexington. Tri-Delts will hold their annual Christmas drop-in Sun day night from 8 'til 9 o'clock. TIhe campus is invited. PHILLIP GARFINKELL has recently been activated into Phi Epsilon Pi. Other Phi Ep news is that SHIRLEY BEASON, newly elected Phi Ep Sweetheart, is wearing the class ring of RAYMOND STERN. DON PETERSON recently pledged Phi Sigma Kappa. The Phi Sig's held a Christmas party last Friday night at the Jefferson Hotel. TOMMY THORNLEY and his band played. TOMMY TALLEY, PHIL SAWYER, REESE NORIN, and DON PETERSON journeyed to Winthrop for the Christmas formal. RANDY BRYANT, "LOVIN' LONNIE" CREECH, PAUL BEATY, HARRY MOSELY, and ED LAI)D took in the Columbia College formal. CAROLYN ALCORN is engaged to TOM CLARK, Kappa Sigma. After the Harvest Ball PiKA's partied from Henry's to the Oriental Plaza, to the Hollywood Club, and back to the Plaza. Sounds interesting I MACKEY IRICK, FRANK MARTIN, HOWELL NEW TON, and JOE NEWTON, PiKA's, were guests of Mu Chap ter at Presbyterian College at their Founder's Day Banquet last Thursday night. After the banquet they attended the P. C.-Furman basketball game. JOE HUDGENS and QUAY WILLIFORD attended the Pan-Hellenic dance at P. C. last week-end. Shirley Beason Is New Sweetheart of Phi Epsilon Pi Shirley Benson, Greer, was crowned sweetheart of Phi Epsilon Pi, social fraternity, at a dance held in her honor Saturday night, David Gordon, president, an nounced. The dance, which was cabaret style, was given by the pledge class. Miss Beason was elected by the chapter at a meeting several weeks ago but her name was withheld until it was announced at the dance.
