DELTA DELTA' DELTA AGAIN SURPRISED ITS
PLEDGES with initiation Sunday, March 26. The proud new

KAPPA ALPHA HELD A RUSH PARTY Tuesday night
at the Woman's Club, from 8 p. m., until midnight.
COMPASS AND CHART members and dates enjoyed to
the-fullest a party-dance held Thursday last in the Armory,
of all places.
FRIDAY NIGHT THE SIGMA NU'S had a cabaret party
at the Columbia Country Club. Gone snazzy on us, boys?
THE JUNIOR-SENIOR DANCE, SEMI-FORMAL, WILL
BE APRIL 21 IN THE FIELD HOUSE. The dance will be
script, and all are invited. It should be finer than frog hair,
so why not go!
Allene Bland, Delta Delta Delta, is wearing the fraternity
pin of Bobby Broadwell, Sigma Alpha Epsilon.
Lucie Witescarver, another Tri-Delt, is wearing the class
ring of Tiny Foster, Charleston.
SIGMA CHI INITIATION WAS HELD SATURDAY
AFTERNOON AND EVENING. Brand new actives are Bill
Gause, Columbia; Cleve Laird, Columbia; Carl Swartz; Has
kell Fair, Greenville; Gene Robinson, New Castle, Ind.; John
Wise, Atlanta; Don Cdx, Greenville; Dicky Timms, Green
ville; and Charlie Jones, of Columbia. After the initiation, a
stag party was held at John Edens' country home.
ALPHA DELTA PI INVITES YOU to a campus-wide drop
in April 23 from 8 to 9 p. m.
Anne Davis, Chi Omega of Columbia, was in Washington
as a princess in the 1950 Cherry Blossom Festival Thursday
through Saturday. She was a guest on the "Henry Aldrich"
program Thursday night. A ball and banquet with military
escort at the Shorham was a Friday feature. Selection of
the queen was made that night by the spin of a wheel on
which is indicated th.e names of each state and territory rep
resented.
COMPASS AND CHART formal dance will be April 21,
but--I'm so sorry-it's by invitation only.
Anne Gross, Kappa Delta, was visited last weekend by
Joyce Gross.
Fredda Pauley, Kappa Delta, has a ring from John Sex
ton. The wedding wiIJ be in June.
"Weezy" Newman, another Kappa Delta member, is plan
ning a May wedding.
