Harry DeLoach, with 88 points
took high scoring honors in last
week's 19 intramural basketball
games as Block C Club rolled over
Tenement 28, 72 to 27. Strauss
racked 19 for the losers.
Ten. 25 edged the Legal Eagles,
84-88, in the week's closest game.
Goldburg scored 10 for the Eagles
and Litzinger 11 for the victors.
In other games played through
Thursday of last week, McBryde
tripped Ten. 2 and 8, 88 to 19;
K. A. dumped Phi Epsilon Pi; Ten.
9 squeezed by the Camden-Carolina
Club, 28-23; Pi Kappa Phi was
whipped by Lambda Chi Alpha,
33 to 15.
S. A. E. triumphed over Phi
Sigma Kappa, 23-11; Alpha Tau
Omega won over Sigma Chi, 32 to
20; Ten. 2 and 3 lost its second
game of the week to Ten. 5, 34-19;
R. 0. T. C. downed the Chemical
Engineers, 38 to 26; P. K. A. took
Kappa Sigma, 44 to 28.
Carolina-Camden Club scraped
up its second win by downing
Maxcy Third, 40 to 29; the New
man Club downed B. S. U., 31-21;
Ten. 1 took Preston First, 29 to
18; Preston Second gave B. S. U.
its second win, 33 to 27; the
Chemical Engineering Society took
another defeat as A.S.M.E. rolled
to a 35-27 victory.
Ten. 1 remained unbeaten by
taking a 35-22 win over Ten. 25;
and Ten. 29 rounded out the week
in a 34-12 victory over Maxcy
Third.
The free-throw contest, sched
uled for March 1, 2, and 3, will
include 10 fraternities and 10 in
dependent teams. Each man will
get 25 chances from the foul line.
NOTICE
All students interested in the
varsity tennis team should meet
at the field house, Monday after
noon at 2:30.
This is very important for the
tennis season will begin within a
few weeks and candidates are
needed.

Carolina's speed specialists will
participate in the 15th annual
Southern Conference indoor track
meet at Chapel Hill, N. C., today
and tomorrow.
The Gamecocks will offer Tom
my Woodlee, Ray McKenzie and
Rupert Drews in the 100- and 220
yard dashes; Foster Marshall,
Elmer Davis, and Cecil Ward,
milers. Charles McGill, B e n
Badger, Olin McGill, Floyd Spence
and James Summers will also par
ticipate in the meet.
This is the first indoor track
meet for the Gamecocks this sea
son. All of the Southern Confer
ence schools will be represented.

Gamecocks Swim
At Clemson; Lose
To Florida State
The Carolina swimming team
was defeated for the third time
in as many starts last Saturday
afternoon at -the university nata
torium as Florida State University
took a 64-11 win.
The Gamecocks, with only a
nine-man team, suffered a further
setback with the loss of Bebe
Rhame, who was ill. He is ex
pected to be in condition when
Carolina meets Clemson tomorrow
at the Clemson pool.
Florida State's Stormont led the
meet in scoring with nine points.
Stormont won the 200-yard free
style and tied with Wells, also of
FSU, in the 400-yard free style.
The 400-yard relay and the medley
relay were forfeited to Florida
State.
