For Relief
One hundred and eighty-six dol
lars were taken in at the Co-ed
fashion show Dec. 1, Harriet Riv
kin, president of the Co-ed Asso
ciation, announced Dec. 8 at the
bi-monthly meeting. The money
will be used to further the club's
CARE project for European re
lief.
A committee was appointed, with
Rita Ness as chairman, to make
plans for high school weekend,
which will be conducted at the
university in the spring. The
purpose of this weekend will be to
interest high school co-eds in at
tending the university.

The University Glee Club spon
sored a banquet for members of
the music department and dates
Thursday at the Green Derby res
taurant following the candlelight
service in the chapel at 6 o'clock.
After the banquet, the guests
went caroling.

Eunice Stevenson, of Nova Sco
tia, graduate student in English,
spoke to the Episcopal students at
their Canterbury club meeting
Sunday night.
Miss Stevenson discussed the
customs of the Christmas season
in Canada, comparing them with
the customs followed in the Unit
ed States. She mentioned the un
usual French, English, and Scot
tish practices that are observed in
her country, where, she said, the
hoiday sea.wu begins early In
November.

tanburg general hospital, wishes
to interview women 'vho will com
plete their pre-nursing training in
January. The hospital will pay
expenses for a year's training at
the hospital, at the end of whiel
the student will be an X-ray tech
nician, qualified by the America,;
Medical Association.
No training is necessary to
qualify. Dr. Plenge prefers col
lege graduates who have done wt 1
in their academic work, whethe
they he A.B. or B.S. graddittes

began Dec. 16 in Flinn Hall with

ment and in the schools of educa
tion, journalism, fine arts, home
making, hygiene, nursing, and so

p. m. and refreshments were
