By BOOTY WALL Off Again!-It seems that some people are forever being attracted by the whirl of social life at distant and even not too distant colleges . . . Pat Patrick and Bill Castles, Phi Sigma Kappas, journeyed to Winthrop (that institution of navy and white!) last weekend for the Autumn Ball-those lucky Winthrop girls ! Dot Coe and Barbara Croom, DZs, and Mary Jane Walker ZTA, and Gloria Hall, Pi Phi, went to the Citadel-Erskine game in Orangeburg in full colors who WERE they cheering for??? Helene Stein, AEPhi, flew (1st class, nothing less) up to Morgantown, West Va., last weekend to see Danny Kessler and . . . the Gamecocks of course!! Becky Fuller, ADPi, traveled to Duke to see Ga. Tech and Duke play. Dave Smith, George Shelor and a carload of others journeyed up to Durham for this battle. Betsy Sipple, KI), visited Earl Ellis in Martin last weekend. This weekend Jean Robinson, Peggy Hedrick, KDs, and Ruth Stone, Delta Delta Delta, are headed Citadel way for the "Big" dance. Betty and Ann Mood, Jean Bishop, and Doris McClary, ChiOs, are also headed that way. Anne Rawl and "Chie" Martin, Ix"Ds, are koing to Davidmon for the Homecoming game and dances. On our own stage, Drayton Hall theater, "Accent on Youth" openedl last Wednesday for a two-night stand... and audiences left the theater raving over Mary Shand... It seems her acting is the greatest thing to hit the uni versitys stage since Lillian Love's torch singing . . . Or chids to you, Mary. PARTIES AND MORE PARTIES--Kappa Sig's, rushees, aund dates fixed hamburgers and hot dogs Friday nite--The singing later' was greatly mellowed by the crackling of the low bonfires and a fine time was had by all-except the clean-up committee. SAEs held a rush party at the Rathskellar of the Jeffer son Oct. 30. Bob King and Cotesworth Pinkney put on a skit displaying their numerous dramatic talents. Lambda Chi Alpha will entertain its alumni following the Carolina Maryland game. Following the party, the present pledge class will be initiated. Kappa Sig alumni Bill Cook, who helped reinstate the chapter in 1929, visited the fraternity over the weekend. A EPhi pledged Sara Karesh, Margie Levinson, Marcia Radoms and Elinor Gordon. Chi Omega initiated Kathleen Gibson, Ellen Schofield and Bert Edens November 1. Pledge officers of the sorority are Doris McClary, president; Barbara Fowler, secretary, and Anita Thee, treasurer. Delta Zeta p)ledlge officers are Betty Ortman, president; Barbara Croom, vice-president; Mary Ann Elfred, secretary, and Nancy McLemore, treasurer. Harriet Rivkin, AEPhi, is now sporting an engagement ring from Bobby Zalkin, Pi Lambda . . . Mary Ann Reed, Columbia College student, is wearing a diamond from Ray Chaplin, PIKA. ADPi Entertains Other Sororities And New Pledges Alpha Delta Pi sorority enter tained at a tea in the chapter house on Thursday, October 28.
