NiRO2 Florence McAbee Heard In Recital Florence McAbee, soprano, wa presented in her senior voice ri cital Tuesday at 8:30 p. m. i the university chapel. She was ac companied at the piano by Ralp Rozier, a graduate of the clam of 1947. Miss McAbee is completing he fourth year of study under Evely Potter Williamson. She is soloih at St. Paul's Methodist church < Greenville, and was formerly sol ist at St. John's Episcopal churc of Columbia. She has been dire< tor of the University Vesp Choir, president of the universil Chorus, and soprano soloist c tour. She is a member of Co-c Association, YWCA, correspon< ing secretary of Delta Zeta, ar chaplain of Delta Mu chapter o Delta Omicron national music fri ternity. Local KA Chapter Holds Convenfion Kappa Alpha fraternity held its annual Smith Province convention May 7 and 8 in the Wade Hamp ton hotel for members of the fra ternity chapters in North and South Carolina colleges and uni versities. The convention opened with a banquer in the hotel Friday night. Columbia's Mayor Frank Owens gave the welcoming address, and KA alumnus Angus McCawley of Chester was guest speaker. Rev.
