Due to the weather, some classes did not meet last week, which makes it possible for more students to enroll and begin meet Ing them this week, Miss Graydon said. Definite enrollments had been obtained by Monday in 27 courses, Miss Graydon said, as compared to 13 courses offered last se mester. Departments offering' tle courses are: Psychology, English, h0amaking, retailing, accounting, hygiene, secretarial science, mod ern languages, economics, music, art, and photography, with a pos . sibility of audio-visual aids. Latimer Discusses Political Condition In Occupied Zones S. L. Latimer, Jr., editor of The Stat, was the speaker at the meeting of the Junior-Senior Y Council. Latimer spoke on the economic and political conditions in Ger many and Austria and discussed the problems of the four-power di vision of the two countries into occupied zones. "When Germany was divided," he said, "Russia got the bread basket, Britain got the Ruhr, France got the Saar and we got the scenery." Robert Fulton, now assistant pastor at the First Presbyterian church of Columbia, to make plans for the coming semester. Ed Thompson, president, an uounced that a series of programs entitled "Boy-Girl Relationships" will be presented in February. A square dance will be held, Febru ary 18, after the formal part of the program. Also, a state wide convention of fellowships from schools throughout South Caro lina will be held at Furman uni-. versity, Greenville, S. C., Allen McEachen of the university will preside. Fulton, who came to Columbia from Leesburg, Va., is adult ad visor for the local group. A gradu ate of Hampden Sydney College and the Union Theological Semi nary in Richmond, Va. He was a member of Virginia's Synod's Young People's Council for five years, president of Presbyterian Fellowship, and vice-president of the Hampden Sydney Student Christian association. He is a member of Kappa Alpha social fraternity, member of the German Club, and Pan Hel Coun cil. He was business manager of the annual, member of student council, debating team, assistant in the French department, Dra matic Club, president of the liter ary society, as well as playing on the Seminary basketball team and i being the director of Intra-mural athletics. Radio Group Plans Transcribed Plays "Radio Players," a new division of the University Players, will be gin work on their first production within two weeks, and will record all plays on a recently purchased recording set, group director Dotsy Lloyd announced yesterday. The recorder, obtained through efforts of the University De baters, the University Players and the English department will en -able the group to transcribe plays: from Drayton Hall for later presentations over local station< WIS and campus statio WUSC.
