The pageant will be composed of five or six routines with about 15 girls participating in each routine. The audience will be en tertained between the routines with diving by members of the boys' swimming team. Practices are held from 2 to 4 p. m. on Monday, Wednesday, rips and Friday afternoons in the uni versity pool. Any coed is invited to participate in the naareant. Special swimming ability is not necessary as the overall effect wFsill be achieved by teamwork. Feb. 20 in the university natatorium in the first meet of the season, and Clemson will come here Feb. 21 for a dual meet. Carolina will act as host when the state intercollegiate swimming meet is held Feb. 28. Clemson, Furman, The Citadel and Carolina will enter full teams, while Pres byterian and Wofford will send individuals to represent them. Coach Jack Crawford said the Gamecock swimmers are continu ing daily workouts and that some have improved greatly. However, he did not single out any one man as the best prospect. The boys are working hard and expect to offer some good com petition to opposing teams for tank honors this season, Crawford said. Any students who are in fairly good condition and genuinely in terested in swimming with the team are requested to contact Crawford immediately.
