(A) Among the most active of Carolina's organizations
is the YM-YWCA. Even before the actual school year
startqd the Y, as it does every year, is at work acquainting
freshmen boys and girls with life at Carolina. Girl coun
selors, above, sunned on the lake pier at freshman camp.
(B) With the swinging in of the new school year, so
rorities and fraternities commence their convivial gather
ings, characteristic of campus social life. Upper right, girls
of Delta Delta Delta celebrate Founders' day with a banquet.
(C) The beginning of the post-war college life brought
more progressive activity to campus life. A campus radio
station was one of the projects borne out of this acceler
ated interest. After much effort and planning had been set
forth, radio statiol WUSC began regular operations from
