Upon reading "In the Mail Box"
in your latest edition of The
Gamecock I've come to the con
clusion that a frivolous student is
exceedingly depressed over the an
nual Carolina-Citadel affair. This
so called epistle of mine is merely
a challenge to my dear friend.
His main objection seems to be
in the fact that the poor lad did
without a meal in order to attend

Carolina will be represented in
three sports. Janet Wiles of Co
lumbia will head the volleyball
team, Betty Speigler of Edgefield
will serve as captain of the tennis
team and Betsy Sipple of Colum
bia has charge of the swimmers.
The purpose of the sport day is
to further good sportsmanship and
create interest in athletics among
college girls, Miss Wallace said.
