Inter-Fraternity Will
Sponsor Contest For
Best Clemson Display
The Inter-fraternity CQuncil is
announcing a contest for the most
original and clever display for the
coming Carolina-Clemson football
game. Signs and banners are to
be made and displayed in front of
the homes of various campus or
ganizations. A trophy cup will
be awarded for the best display.
An attempt is being made to
improve relations between the
Carolina and Clemson students. In
previous years some of the dis
plays have not been in very good
taste according to I.F.C., so they
are making the request that signs
be kept clean and sportsmanlike.
Unkind and vulgar slams at Clem
son are not in order although
clever digs are quite appropriate.
The keynote for displays this
year will be originality and clev
erness. In order to attract the
eye of passing Columbians they
should be mechanical and involve
the use of lights. The displays
should be designed to amuse and
gain the good will of all visitors
to the campus during the week of
the game.
