17 passes for 189 yards in the

a net running gain of 17 yards
to lead the Gamecock ground gain

Fred Bargiacchi, the freshman
halfback from Memphis, Tenn.,
had the best running average with
58 yards gained, five lost, out of
six attempts, for an average of
8.8 yards a try. Red Harrison, ran
eight times, ant gained 62 yards
for a 7.7 average, Bishop Strick
land ran 16 times, gained 107
yards, lost four, for a 6.4 average
and Harry DeLoache carried seven
times, gained 61 yards and lost
three, for a 6.8 yard average.
Billy Kincaid ran 16 times and
gained 63 yards while losing eight
to average- 8.4 yards per try.
