JInter-Fratermif BACK AGAIN ... It seems to me that I wrote this column only a couple of days ago and I should have lots more time to sit back and take life easy before pounding out on -the old typewriter again. But it's been a week so I guess I shouldn't complain. * A mighty lot has happened in that week, too; mainly, in case you haven't heard, Carolina played Clemson at the Fair Grounds Thursday. The score was 26-14 IN FAVOR OF THE GAMECOCKS!! Needless to say, a big time was had by all with many, many festivities preceding and following the big event. When I went around Friday trying to pick up a few bits of news I didn't get much cooperation. Reason-it was the day after the big game and people weren't feeling much like "giving with the news." However, I've managed to scrape up a few items so here 'tis. Don't blame me too much if some of it is slightly antiquated. Remember, I felt the same way you did last Friday. VISITORS . . . Visitors from all points have been attracted to the U. S. C. campus during the past few weeks. Miss Esther Malter, Phi Sigma Sigma sorority representative visited Delta Tau last last week. She was honored by the Delta Taus with an in formal tea . . . SAEs visiting the chapter for the game were Tommy Duncan from Richmond, Va., Buddy Riggs and his wife (Betty Knowles) from Charleston, Burnett .Maybank, Jr., and Ensign Bob Hirsch, who came up from his ship at Charleston. WEEK-ENDS . . . Speaking of big times being had by all, Carolina students have really been making merry on the week-ends. Barbara Dukes, Tri Delt, toured up to Clemson for the Clemson-Wake Forept game and hop ... Harriet Lee went up to Henderson vilte to visit Toni Anders, DZ alum, who by the way, is en gaged to Crooks Eddy, U.S.C. alum . . . Trudie Leonard journeyed down to Charleston a couple of week-ends ago to see Shorty Johnson at the Medical College . z : Donald Mc Kellar, Sam Baker, Toty Black, and Mac Yates went to New York to attend the wedding of Jean Jones, KD . . . Doris Schmucker, PiPhi, went to Citadel Homecoming in Charles ton ... Bobby Harrison, Lucky Moore, Caldwell Weston, and many 9ther KAs also took in this occasion . . . Nancy Ruff and Nibbie Forbes, Tri Delts, and Mac and Bubber Boyle, SAEs spent a weekend at Pawleys Island ... Beaufort stu dents went en masse to attend the wedding of Jane McTeer and Jack Woods. ,tfSCELLANEOUS... Arnie Autler, a returned veteran, was recently elected treasurer of the Phi Eps . . . New actives of Sigma Chi are Edgar Nelson and Billy Lattimore .. . Old members of Sigma Chi who have become re-active are Vernon Sloan, Mac Lewis, and Jimmy Sheridan ... Margaret Fowler, Chi 0, is in the * hospital after an appendectomy ... Betty Hendley, Tri Delt alum, will be married in November. Carolina students and alums in the wedding party are Mary King, Anne Searson, Nancy Baggott, and Nancy Marchant. Immediately after Thursday's game Oren Jones, Sarah Martin, Lee B. Taylor, Nell Mayer, Donald Marchette, Car roll Gilliam, Bob Isbell, and Mike Karvelas journeyed over to the old Gamecock city (Sumter, S.
