Patrick Henry (Pat) Nelson, '30A, '331., Columbia attorney and veteran of the Second World War was guest speaker at a recent meeting of the Carolina Veterans'. Robert Hunter Kennedy, '30EE, '32CE, of Columbia, who has been stationed with the army en gineering corps at Oak Ridge, Tenn., recently sailed for Bikini in the Marshall Islands. where he will take part in the atomic homb tests scheduled for this summer. Major Kennedy expects to return to the States in August. Fred F. Williams. '38.1. of Colum bia, is editor of The Timmonsville Times. a weekly newspaper which will begin publication at Timmons ville on June 1. Mr. Williams, who recently served as head of the United Press in South Carolina. with headquarters in Columbia, was also on duty with the Navy overseas for more than three years. Samuel H. Todd, '34A, recently resigned his position as assistant treasurer of the Federal Land Bank of Columbia. and has become asso ciated with ,John W. Crews, '141., in the practice of law in Columbia. Mr. Todd has served with the AAl since May, 1941. and returned from overseas duty in February, 1946, when he received his release from active duty. lIe now makes his home in Columbia.
