Jacob Thomas Hooker, '29PhD, of Natchitoches, La., is now connected with the Veterans Administration at Wofford College, Spartanburg. lie and Mrs. Hooker (Flora Ham er), '298p, are making their home in Spartanhurg. Walter Gustav (Gus) Houseal, '25Sp, of Newberry, makes his home at Newberry. where he is active in church and choir work. Ile sings in the Lutheran choir, and is a I member of the Newberry Music club. For the past ten years he has been a member of the choir of the Methodist assembly at Lake Juna luska, N. C. Mr. Ilouseal is ad dressed at Newberry. The Rev. Claude McIntosh, '27A, of Columbia, was recently named pastor of the Eau Claire Presby leirian church in Columbia. The Rev. He returned there as pro. fessor of English Bible (1920-32) and was acting president of the seminary in 1930-32. He served as moderator of the Presbyterian Synod of Alabama (1939) and re tired in July 1945 as pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Anniston, Ala. As a student Dr. Clark was a member of the Clar iiosophic literary society (and its president , a menher of ATO so vial fraternity, captain of the football team, president of the senlior class. IIe was graduated with "distinguished honors" and rlected to Phi Beta Kappa. Dr. .1. McFaddin Dick, at the time of his death in 1939, was a practicing physician in Salisbury, Maryland. While at "S.C.C." he was a mnemberl of the Ball Com mittee for social affairs, and ATO social fraternity. He was noted tor his pitching on the baseball team. He atti-nded the inedical college of the I University of Ma-y land, graduating with honors. Ie was appointed a resident physi cian at the institution and there after made his home in Mary. land. While at the old college he was a member of ATO social fraternity. Cyrus Davis Melton, deceased, was a cousin of the late Univer. sity president William Davis Mel ton, '92L. They attended the old college at the same time. "C. D." left Carolina to work with a railroad company in Sa vannah, later moving to New Or leans, where he made his home for most of his life. There he was a statistician for the Southern Cotton Oil Company. Although at "S.C.C." for only a short time he was active in student affairs, as he was in the race for fresh man class president, elected a marshal of the Euphradian liter ary society, a imember of ATO social fraternity, and a nember of the glee club. Walter Taylor Green, also de (eased, was the only law school graduate of the college in the group. He practiced his profes sion in Columbia until 1914, when he joined the firm of Barron and McKay as a farm loan inspector. In 1920 he retired from the busi ness world and became an im portant Richland county planter. While at the college "Wat" was a member of ATO social fr,ater nity, a vic('-presidlent of Pan-Hlel lenic council, a memher of the Ger-man club, and played intra mural footbhall.
