The Phi Epsilon Pi boys had a stag in their frat rooms Sunday afternoon, January 21; and the 27th they'll all jour ney out to Doc Crawford's pond for a little (?) party in hon or of all their members who will graduate in February. It promises to be a fine party. And the highlight of Sigma Nu is their "White Rose For mal" which will be danced the night of February 1, from 9 to 1.... All the Sigma Nu dates will be given the emblematic white rose corsages and "pin" favors. . .. Members of Phi Kappa Sigma enjoyed a party out at the Cayce Women's Club on Saturday, January 19. . . . Every body joined in the dancing, bingo, and bridge. . . . The Phi Kappa Signia pledge officers are Clarence McEachern, pres ident; Buddy McEachern, vice-president; and James McGee, secretary. . . . Their new active is Theo Boone and their re cent visitors were Jimmy Williams, Glenn Roddey, Sam Moyle, and George Hamiter. . . . Members of Pi Kappa Alpha are planning a party Febru ary 2 in honor of their graduating seniors. . . . All this will take place in the Legion Hut in Maxcy Gregg Park.... The members of Sigma Alpha Epsilon are making plans for a big party Saturday night.... The place-could be any of many but it might be at Senator H1ammond's. . .. The Sigma Chi's threw a big nig)t club affair out at Man or Hill Recreational Hall last Saturday night. . . . Chick Shiels was the Master of Ceremonies. . . . Each year the Towle company sends a display so that a poll can he'taken of the senior girls at the U niversity. This way they discove which pattern is most popular with the senior girls all over the United States. It was decided to meet the first Monday night in every month for supper and meetings. A list of alumni in the vicinity of Columbia was drawn up. and one member of the chapter will be responsible for the program each time. The active chapter on the canm pus met Monday night also, and plans were made for a party Sat ur day, January 26. at the American Legion Hlut in honor of the new pledges. A committee was formed to make arrangements for a Founders' Day dance, which will he given around March 15. The dance committee, consists of Ray Britt and Eliot Mc Cants. Wade Hampton Gives Drop-In For Veterans The Co-eds In Wade Hampton dormitory presented a drop-in Sun day afternoon, January 26. from four until six p. m. for the men students on the campus who are discharged veterans. Martha Cox, house president, was In charge of the drop-in. Refresh ments of punch and cookies were served. So far, the figure of the number of veterans who expect to enter in March stands at 1,000. In order to accommodate this number, plans have been made to move the co-eds out of Coker, to continue putting three students in each front room of Sims, and not to admit any new out-of-state' students. Blanket bids were sent to all the fraternities on the campus. Others invited are four representatives of each sorority on the campus, and many town and out-of-town boys who do not attend the University, or who are not In fraternities. The Tri-Delta officers in charge of the dance are: Betty Childs, Laura Dowe, Mildred Belser, Jane Campbell, and Esther Gregorie. Betty Hendley is chairman of the decoration committee, and those assisting her are: Nell Miller, Jane Campbell, Betty Childs, Sara Bull, Nancy Nash, and Byrd Murray. The dance is in honor of the new pledges of the sorority. There will be four no-breaks and one special no-break for just the Tri-Delts and their escorts.
