Team Five Is
Still First in
Navy Tourney
With only two weeks of play re
maining in the Navy softball league,
Team 5 held a 1 1-2 game lead over
Team 3. All teams play a total of
18 games each and there are only
4 to be played. This fact places a
definite strain on Team 3 as they
will have to win all of their re
maining games and heat Team 5
to cop the regimental champion
ship, while Team 5 needs to win 3
out of the remaining five to win
honors.
Team play during the next week
should take a definite upgrade as
the lower teams are battling it out
for the runner-up spot and the
standings should change.
Those teams having the service1
of football during their recent lay
off didn't fare so well after theyl
returned to their football chores.
Examples of this are Teams 2 and
1 who lost the services of Junior
Meeks and Steve Trewella plus
Tommy Carr.
Team standings as of Wednesday,
September 19, are as follows:
Team Won Lost Pet.

President Smith. after a series of

This is the end of a long cam

been trying to reinstate these
courses for some time. It was Coach
De Mars who gathered material to
