CABAN ISS Exclusive Wo 1637 Main St. GET THAT I THE Ci * Sandwi< * ColdDi * Cigaret * School * Student Dance Alumni Face Return To USC Campus Pleas For Campus News Swamp Alumni Office Do the alumni of Carolina wlto are serving in our country's armed forces overseas and in this country look back on their days on Caro lina's catmpu, as golden ones, ones filled with fun perhaps a little too much, and face their return to this verdant campus awed with the mag nitude of the things that they could have, and will later do here to add to their college life and to their life after graduation? Ask that question to Mr. Ralph Lewis, secretary of the Alumuni As sociation and his answer will be in the affirmative. Into Mr. Lewis' office on the campus pours every day many letters from boys of Car olina who were inducted or volun teered before their graduation, let ters expressing two desires-that the Alumni Association continue sending them the Gamecock and that they had been a little more level-headed and a little less frivo lous about their work when they 4 were students at this institution. Typical of the first desire was a letter from Ensign Eddie I.eppard, a f114 N ROTC graduate who is now serving overseas. Eddie said: "\\'hen we get mtail, we feel like we can whip the whole German army. \\'hen we don't, we feel like whipped dogs." 1'ractically every letter that comes to Mr. I.ewis' of tice contains a plea for the Game. i cock and the news of the campus and of the alumni. In this Vespect, the Alumni Association is able to satisfy the alumni's wish and sends out every week between five and ' right tltosand copies of the Game. cock.
