NROTC Juniors To Leave February 26 Orders from the Navy Depart ment received yesterday at the University's Naval Training Unit stated that all NROTC juniors who can physically qualify for sea duty and who are recom mended by their commanding officer will be commissioned En sign Feb. 26 and ordered to ac tive duty immediately. No time for leave is anticipated by the naval unit unless a few days lapse before the men are to report for duty. Men not physically qualified will be re tained by the University unit for further disposition. One hundred men of the V-12 training unit will be reclassified and assigned to the NROTC unit as sophomores. The total num ber remaining in the NROTC unit will be approximately 146. V-12's, now in the engineer ing department of the University, will leave in February for fur ther training at other schools and will be replaced by first se mester V-12's in the March term. Tom Pitts, present student body president, stated that the departure of Skinny McKinney. newly elected president, will place Tom Ingram, first vice president, in the office of presi dent.
