With the spirit of Christmas just beginning to escape us,
the great hopes of issuing in a brand new year, and the results
of mid-semestcr grades staring us in the face, Men and Women
of Carolir:. :,nould be settled down again to the proverbial
"old grind".
The results of the Christmas season always seem to add a
little spice to the everyday looks of ,th'ngs. There is always
a definite atmosphere of newness around . . . but, maybe that
is part of the reason for gifts. Just cast your eye around .. .
you'll notice it.
Might do well to add here that Ilelen Pride Craig and Jane
Middlebrooks are recent recipients of Sigma Nu pins. Th: t
adds two more to the membership of the Sisterhood of Wearers
of the White Star.

From the Sororities..
We find that the Chi 0 pledges will throw a party for the
actives sometime next week . .. by the way; the girls are
moving into their new room at the foot of the hill on Pickens
Street this week-end . . . Alpha Delta Pi little sisters took all
the actives to a theatre party last night and then escorted them
to the apartment for refreshments . . . Delta Zeta's will have
formal pledging for Vivian Chapman tonight at seven o'clock
in the chapter room on Sumter Street ... Sigma Delta actives
are ent.ertaining their pledges Monday night with a howling
party lind will take them out later for hamburgers.
Lambda Chi's .. .
Are entertaining with two rush parties this week. The first,
a Smoker, was held last night at eight in the Lambda Chi room.
Tonight at eight-thirty the boys are giving a .ridge-supper
with dancing as an added attraction at Miss Swecker's avart.
