Thirteen new non-royalty radio
plays have been added to the exten
sion division's play library, Mrs. D. R.
Riser, head of the extension division
library announced this week.
The plays are edited by Arch Ob
oler and they are designed to wake
up Americans. They concern the
United States and the war, but they
are no war play in the stfict sense of
the word. They are'not about front
line fighting and dive bombing and
commando raids. They are .about
people at home, people like ourselves
who are proud of our country.
They were published by the Asso
ciation for Education by Radio, which
was organized in the national de

Mr. and Mrs. McKissick
rushed from a dinner party to
get to the dance on time. When
they arrived at the Naval ROTC

hear the sweet strains of Melvin
Hemphill's music, and to see the
University boys and girls doing
boogie woogie or graceful
waltzes, they saw the armory in -

The dance that they had planned
to attend was the Independents

Formal attire will not be in vain
