Too Late To Class...
By PAUL "SCOOP" LEAGUE
(Editors Note: In the absence of Scoop League, Ed Patterson has
consented to fill his space.)
IROLD THE PRESS
The reported proposed elopement which was to take place Saturday
nite with venus Nance and caveman Jack Hendley didn't take place,
or at least it didn't in this county . . . The seriousness of the plan made
us wonder what Bob up at Davidson and Ed at U. N. C. would say
about it, or would they just sit around and be heart broken . . . What
collich will do to some people . . . One romance worthy of publicity but
which has been completely void of it is the one between Ruth Hender
son and Brinson Moorehead . . . The Sigma Nuer who got Mackey
King to give up a Davidson date to attend their highly successful
shindig should be congratulated . . . Looks like the army is getting
all of our girls as well as the boys . . . The Marion Wyman hook-up
was a super surprise . . .

I wish I had a girl.
Unfortunately I have not.
I'd give a million dollars,

Something tells me Dean ain't going to accept bull on aid to Britain on
these exams . . . What's torts about anyway? (followed by long silence).
RADIO: Take Karters little Flivver P'ills. They contain the danger
of caramel, yet have no caramel in them.
GILMER HARRIL: I can't find my new striped tie. I'll have to
borrow yours. Don't move I'll get it. (Handsome Harrill shifts
through the three inch space between chair and bed disloging back
of chair in Donn's neck and scatters contract notes, piled high, written
but never read).
HYDRICK: who ever invented notes anyway? I move we check.
up and shoot him.

Give that young lady six silver dollars. (Followed by static in shrieking
radio that blows out tube. In fact radio blows out several tubes.
Strain blows out light fuse. Lights go out.)
GILMER HARRILL again: Where the devil da yo keep your
tie-clasp, Donn, I've looked in every one of your drawers.
