The Glee Club will sing three songs and the orchestra will play several selections. All students are invited to attend and join in the singing of Christmas carols following the num bers given by the Glee Club and Or chestra. Plans are for each sorority and fraternity to enter a group, not more than six or less than two, who will sing two of the' sorority or fraterni ty songs. A cup will be awarded to the sorority and one to the fra ternity who is judged the best. Com petent judges will be selected to make the decision. L11 Wil nas Club Offi KATHEINE GOODING. (Tsuer Sigma Nus PlanBanquet Delta chapter of Sigma Nu will - have its annual father and son ban quet, December 15, at 8:15 p. m. at the Friendly Cafeteria. Plans have I been made to entertain seventy people t -fathers, sons, and alumni. Charles Edward Thomas, assistant general secretary of the national or ganization and editor of the Delta, fraternity magazine, will be guest speaker. Robert M. Smith, command er of the local chapter, will be mas - ter of ceremonies. Other officers are Robert Shaw, lieutenant commander; Coit Hendley, treasurer; and Courte nay Carson, recorder. The first father and son banquet was held last year at Scarborough's Cafeteria and it was such a success that it was decided to make it an annual affair. After mid-semester exams the chapter was entertained by John C. B. Smith, alumnus, at his house at Lake Murray. Plans are under way for a chapter Christmas party shortly before holi days begin. PKS Pledges Give Banquet Alpha Eta Chapter of Phi Kappa Sigma was entertained last Monday night by their pledges with a ban quet at Harvey's Cafeteria. Don Sharp, president of the pledges, gave a short talk on the ,advantages of joining a fraternity. Carl Cone discussed the founding of Phi Kap pa Sigma. Officers of the active chapter are: T. H. Rawi, president; Bill Brooker, vice-president; J. WV. Harper, secre tary; C. G. Bass, treasurer. The fraternity plans to have a sup per each month at Harvey's. 'Cohen Pledges Tri Itchy Hennig Cohen, a junior from Dar lington, has just been pledged to Tri Itchy, local Greek letter fraternity. Members of Tri Itchy are selected I from residents of Tenement 12. The 5 club membership at present is nine. t The fraternity badge is a laundry identification tag. e Next week, the sweetheart of Tri Itchy will be announced and also the fraternity song. Cities j The extension division of the t school of education at the University of South Carolina recently organized f extension classes in Florence and Lake City dealing with the newer t methods of teaching. Dr. Fred W. e Alexander, extension professor of Seduscation, and Dr. Ellison M. Smith, professor of elementary education, Iwill teach the classes. Dr.' Alexander, will teach "Audio e Visual Education" and "Modern High . School Problems for Classroom Teachers" at Florence and "Audio Visual Education" and "Teaching of a Reading in the Grades" at Lake City. of Dr. Smith will teach "Foundations fProgressive Education" and "The ' Elementary School Curriculum" at e Florence. - Dr. Alexander and I)r. Smith will r go to Florence every Monday after noon and to Lake City every Tues day afternoon for these classes.
