have predicted several football
mes, all so far being perfect in their

problem of the season: The Clem
n-Carolina tilt. But here we go:
CLEMSON 13.....CAROLINA 21
DEFINITION OF THE WEEK:
professor is a guy who talks in
meones else's sleep.
LOUD LAUGHTER-Clemson col
;e has the audacity of condemning
e "Big Apple" dance because it is "a
nce which wrecks havoc on a dance
or and sends conventional dancing
the sidelines."
For the laugh of the week, let us
print a bit of the Clemson editorial:
'he dignity for which Clemson dances
e noted are not to be spoiled by a
nce fad .... Clemson dances have
ng been dances steeped in tradition.
hey have been tinted with a certain
amour, color, and dignity which
nks them with the leading dances in
e South. We therefore urge the stu
nt body and the CDA to preserve
is dignity by combining in a concen
ited effort to blot out anything which
enaces this dignity."
Maybe tie dances I attended at the
gricultural college were 'off-the
cord" sprees, Anyway, we cannot
iderstand Clemson-of all schools
ndemning the Big Apple as undigni
:d.

NOTES FROM A TYPEWRITER
..I had you followed on your trip to

e tallest hotel in the world, that you
wre stopped for reckless driving, that
u visited everything from the night
ots to the symphony orchestras, and
at you bought a new hat to keep the
