Pi's (bet that one got you-it's the commercial frat) had a smoker at the Friendly Cafeteria a couple of Wednesday nights back. (Always on time with the news-us!) The party, which was composed of members, alumni, and invited guests, numbered 30. Mr. Frank Taylor, charter member man, talked on the alumni placing system, while Frank TP. Meeks gave advice to the students on preparing to sell themselves after college, which may .not be so darn so cial, but it's a fine thing to knowv. K. S. K. Introducing this business of girl break dances, Kappa Sigma Kappa, co-ed spirit club, will sponsor its first dance of the year at the University of South Carolina gymnasium tonight. Leo Downs and his orchestra will be furnishing the music. Club members can take their dates into dance to their melodies for the nominal sum of 44c, tax included. Phi Sigma Kappa At a recent meeting Phi Sigma Kappa elected the following officers for the coming semester: G. B. Bun drick, p)resident; Jack Pillas, vice-presi (lent; T. C. Callison, secretary; Lang Hogan, treasurer; Arthur Parsons, in dluctor; anid Julius Wvald, auditor. The following are pledge officers: "Dinkie" Vaughn, president; Bob H-ayes, vice-president; Hubert Wells, secretary-treasurer; and John Swygert, pledge manager. The pledges are planning to give the actives a house-dance next Tuesday. Zeta Tau Alpha' The Z. T. A.'s entertained last Thurs (lay afternoon with a picnic at Camp Marion. After an afternoon of singing and dancing, a picnic lunch was served. Actives, pledges and rushees were presenut. Betty Horton and Martha Harmon were in town for the Pan Hellenic and the game. Margarita B3aldwvin spent the weekend at her home in Lake City, S. C. Frances Smith will be initiated next Monday night. The chapter celebrated Founder's Day Thursday evening after which a dutch supper was enjoyed. Plans are being made for a tea dance next Saturday night at the Chatter box from 6:30 unto 8:30. Music will be furnished by Tack Wardlaw and his orchestra.
