This game is an important factor in the state championship race as Caro lina has won six games and lost two, while the Tigers have lost none but has Wofford yet to play. A tie will result for first place if Clemson loses these games and the Birds win from P. C., Wofford, and the Citadel. The Saturday game is also im portant in the Southern Conference series because it may be the decid ng point in Carolina getting an invi ation to the Conference Meet at Ra leigh on the last of the month.
