Student Dies At Home

lie is survived by bis parents, Mr.
and Mrs. L. Barmore Dunn and two
brothers, Langdon B. Dunn and William
R. Dunn, the last a law student at the
University.
Cecil was a laboratory assistant in
chemistry. He was a member of the
Y. M. C. A. and had made an excel- I
lent scholastic record in his years here.
lie was well liked by professors and
college friends, who regret his passing.
Marine Corps Offers

and lodging.
The camp will begin about July 10.
Those juniors beginning this year will
have to go through only one training
period before receiving their commission,
while in the future two years will be required
of all.
While in summer training the private
will wear military uniform, but may dispense
with it upon week-end leaves or at
other times when he is not on duty.
During the scholastic year no military
duties are required of the enlisted.
Members of other military organizations
must resign from the present status before
enrolling for the Marine Corps.
A medical examiner and recruiting
officer will be sent to the University to
enroll the ten men chosen for the positions.
Those wishing fuller information about
the program arc urged to consult Dean
Bradley immediately.

compete in the trials which will be run
olT today. Saturday the finals will be
run off. South Carolina will be minus
the services of Tom Craig, one man
track team of last season and Bryan
Jlutt, winner of the dashes. Prospects
arc not so good for Carolina in this meet,
but the experience that these Gamecock
trackmen will gain will be invaluable
next year.
