5r Under Present Title
)e Pan-Hellenic Body Now Known
As "Inter-fraternity"
,e Council
i'c The Pan-Hellenic Council of the
ir* University of South Carolina met for
the last time as the Pan-Hellenic
Council Monday afternoon at five
o'clock. By an amendment to the
Constitution of that body the name
of the council was changed to the Interfraternity
Council of the University
of South Carolina. This change
has been evidently necessary as the
name Pan-Hellenic Council is commonly
applied to the council of sororities
on this campus and elsewhere.
By changing the name it can in the
future always be immediately recognized
as a man's organization.
The Council also decided to hold a
Pan-Hellenic Dance on the night of
Friday, March 2i>. The place of entertainment
and the orchestra have
not yet been decided but it is probable
that the dance will be held at Ridgewood
and that the Gamecocks will
play.
