Working hard for their last game of
the season today with the Citadel Bull
Pups, the Carolina Biddies plan to
hang up one last victory before they
put away their moleskins. After
tapering off before the trip to Charleston
the Biddies should be in the best
condition of the year. Steady improvement
coupled with a uniform
gain in weight for the whole squad
should bear heavily against the frosh
cadets.
Captained by Tom Pierce, Columbia
boy and former Columbia high end,
the Bull Pups have a jam-up football
aggregation this year and will be out
for the Biddies' scalp. According to
reports they have as good a squad as
they have had in years.
Coach Norman has been searching
for a clicking combination all season
and it seems that with a little polish the
team that met Furman's frosh not long
ago will turn the trick. Hasel Murray,
transferred from center, has proved
his ability as a blocking back. Lyons
has shown that all he needs is a bit
of interference to get him into a
broken field and Stillwell is plenty
adept at plowing a line. Claffy, substitute
back, gave plenty of promise
when put in against the Little Wind.
R. Johnson at guard has been the
outstanding defensive player 011 the
Biddie team this season and will give
the Citadel plebes lots of trouble when
they hit the center of the line. Craig.

Carolina's victory over Furman was

with the Birds their only hurdle before
sacking the Conference title. There is
considerable belief and still more hope
in the two Carolinas that the Virginians
skip a beat some where between
the toss of the coin and the final
whistle just long enough to relinquish
their grasp 011 the coveted victory. If
Carolina wins this game, and it seems
customary for her to deliver final
game up-sets, N. C. State will possess
the Conference crown, while if the
Birds lose Washington and Lee will
undisputedly hold the title.

Mr. Crawford, Coach Norman and
Dr. Foster will not be able to do anyhing
definite toward equipping the
