Will Select Girls Under Old Point System National Honor Leadership Sorority Requires 125 Points For Membership Alpha Kappa Gamma, National honorary leadership sorority, will scltct new members under the same point system revised and used last year, according to Ellen LaBorde, secretary. A co-ed is eligible for election to membership if she is of junior rank or above and has 125 points in three different fields. Points which correspond to those offered for similar activities at the University of South Carolina may be considered of equal value and arc transferable for candidates who come to the University from a school of equal standing. 75 points will be awarded for the following: Editor of the Carolinian, the Camccock, the Garnet and Black; president Y. W. C. A.; member of Phi Beta Kappa. 50 points will be awarded for the following: President of a sorority; president of an honorary or professional group; president K. S. K.; president Damas; president Carolina Christian Service Club; president literary society; co-ed or art editor the Garnet and Black; student board of publications; intercollegiate debater (alternate under 15 point division) ; associate editor the Gamecock, the Carolinian. 35 points will be awarded for the following: President Pan-Hellenic; vicepresident, critic, secretacy, treasurer literary society; vice-president, secretary, treasurer Y. W. C. A., honorary or professional group; Damas; president freshman Y. W. C. A.; honor committee; student council; straight "A" average; lead in a campus play; officers in classes; house president; representative to the debating council; co-ed editor of the Gamecock; president of Woman's Athletic Association. 25 points will be awarded for the following: Minor officer fn K. S. K.; any office on the three publications except assistant; student conductor of the University Symphony orchestra; May queen; member of honorary group; minor office in a sorority?not including appointive positions; minor officer of Pan-1 lellenic; president of sorority pledges. 20 points will be awarded for the following: Minor officer of W. A. A.? not including appointive positions. 15 points will be awarded for the following: University Symphony orchcs11a; minor officers in orchestra; maid of honor in May queen court; member of Pan-}lellenic; assistants of staffs of publications; glee club; appointive positions except committees in sororities, literary societies; honorary or professional group, and such organizations; captain or manager of athletic team. 5 points will be awarded for the following: Affiliation with any campus activity; May queen court; member of co-ed athletic team. ?u. s. c.? Personals Bob Avingcr spent the week-end with his family in Orangeburg. Osborne Rhodes visited in Estill the past week-end. Preston and Wallace Cone spent the week-end at their home in Williston. John Ilussey, Bernard Fritzharris, Ilarlie Sparrow and James Holmon visited friends in Florence last weekend. John Bradley took the entrance exam to West Point last Saturday in Gieenwood. G. G. Dowling spent the past weekend at his home in Greenwood. Arthur Holman and Robert Vandiver visited in Anderson. Capers Gambrell attended the Tech dance in Atlanta last Friday. William Atkinson and Marchant Culler spent the week-end in Orangeburg. Wallace McNair visited in Aiken during the past week-end. Marshall Williams spent the weekend with his folks in Orangeburg. Gene Stone of Greenville, who is a charter member of the local chapter of Kappa Sigma, spent fair week at their house. Katherine Bush is ill in the infirmary. Eleanor McColl spent the week-end in Columbia. Amen Harrclson and "Speedy" Spears were here for the CarolinaClemson game. Carlisle Campbell, president of Cokcr Coilege, dined with Colonel McKissick Wednesday. Martha Prince of Converse College spent the week-end with Mercedes Hartzell. Emma Titisley spent Wednesday in Columbia. SCK The German turned out to be quit an enjoyable affair. The hall wa beautifully, decorated in garnet, black purple and gold. Co-ed Cheerleader "Dink" Gaines was elected co-ci cheerleader at a meeting of co-ei Kappa Sigma Kappa held in the chape Tuesday afternoon. Kappa Sigma Initiates John L. Williams will be initiate! into Kappa Sigma tonight. City Editor Earl Skidmorc is city editor fo the Orangeburg Times and Democrat J. P. Grambling edits the paper. Botl were Sigma Phi Epsilons here at th University. S. A. E. Entertains The S. A. E.'s have a full day be fore them today. This afternoon thei pledges are having a tea dance for th actives.
